Hello Georgio. Thanks for writing. Do make a point of meeting us at the Shell Filling station in Horsley on the A246 Guildford to Epsom road. There will be four of us plus yourself and whoever else you bring. We'll leave at 08:30 and, living nearby, I'll lead the way to the right gate at Brooklands avoiding the Surrey road closures around the A3/M25 and the worst of the fall out from that.

I am coming up from the Portsmouth area, I was planning on going straight up the A3 over the M25 and joining the A245 near Cobham - do you know if the road closures are likely to impact this route?

The whole junction is a nightmare. However, at that time of the morning the A3 north "should" be relatively OK. It'll be a bit sticky near the junction, that's all.

Hi giorgio, what side of Maidstone are you coming from? M20 junction 8 services are the easiest to meet at, places with parking near 7/6/5 start getting trickier as they take longer to get in and out of. I can be at the J8 motorway services for 7:30 and then we could head straight on to meet the others at Shell in East Horsley. If you are joining the motorway further West then it might be easier to meet in East Horsley!

That looks great, I will aim to be there lurking near the entrance/exit by 7:30am and then we can carry on to Shell Horsley.

Hello @Harvey_Tim and thank you for writing. You've already been correctly advised about road closures/delays in this thread by Jonny - thank you Jonny.. But if you would prefer to avoid the A3/M25 junction altogether (which is what I do while these vast roadworks and earthworks take place - I live nearby) you might want to leave the A3 at the Ripley exit, cut across to the A246 Guildford to Epsom road and join us at the Shell filling station in Horsley. That section of the A246 is quit a nice drive and passes a Lotus dealer that is always worth a glance. We'll be leaving the filling station at 08:30 after we've stretched our legs a bit.
